Come Together (The Beatles)

I love the Beatles. They really capture the times back in the day. I wish that we still had more true tallent like them today. Now days they just shove someone on a stage and give em a mic and give them some catchy words to sing and then call it music. No the Beatles is real music. One of the Best. They are an inspiration to me to right from my heart.

Back when i was a boy scout, we used a computer on our campouts to sing songs, we found some beatles songs and sung them, including this one. i loved playing the air guitar and singing in for John.

My greatest recollection of this number is that it was on our high school juke box in the cafeteria when the song was in its prime. Problem was the juke box only had base speakers, so all you heard was the thumping base-line of this number.

What I liked about this song other than Lennon's creative mantra-like delivery of observation of current issues in the news was the jazz-like overtones, especially in the middle eight verse, that keyboard jamming. I did not know it then as a 16 year old, but this song may have been somewhat responsible for my discovering a liking for jazz music some years later. -Mark Sept 11, 2006
