The Sound is so Fine, I can Feel ItPosted by Mark Seibold, 09/09/2006 11:43
I couldn’t have quantified it then as an eleven year old but I knew there was something about the general sound of this number that made me feel glad to hear this every time it came in the radio. From that opening buzz-toned feedback guitar note that Lennon later claimed he was the sole initiator of to the unique special echo effect of the lead vocals by Lennon, and I am sure that George Martin must have had something to do with that. The cheerful nature of this number is something not heard in later Lennon songs. It conjures up a sunny day of enlightened life and affirmation of happiness and being in love that is undeniable. The signature backing vocals of McCartney and Harrison complete the wholeness of this great effort that rings of the timeless genius of their work still today.
I wish there was a 10 on herePosted by Gary Higdon, 23/02/2006 18:10
My favorite Beatle album of all time is Beatles 65, The version of I feel Fine on this album always knocked me out.the Britsh version was ok but The mix on Beatles 65 really set this song to a new standard. I loved the music and the ltyrics from day one when I was just a young boy playing the record on the old stereo for the first time...
